41 miles!

I rode 41 miles yesterday afternoon. The weather was beautiful and I got a few hills in.

I went from West Salem out through Perrydale, up to Amity, and over the hill – back to West Salem.

I saw lots of wildlife: some birds, cows, dogs, and a roadkilled skunk. There were several good views, I was able to see four mountains from various points of the route: Jefferson, Hood, Adams, St. Helens. From the top of the ridge I may have been able to see a fifth peak just past Adams but I’m not sure what it would be.
