Biking

I’ve been biking more lately. Nothing too long or hard, but I’ve done about 14-16 miles per ride. It’s been fun exploring around the outskirts of town. I’ve been heading out every couple of days.

Last week I decided to see how far out Battle Creek road I could go in half an hour (out south of Salem). I ended up in Turner, right as it was time to turn around. I was impressed that I made it to another town.

Earlier this week I went out to West Salem and past West Salem High School on Orchard Heights Road. That road is mostly uphill for several miles. I then turned on Eagle Crest Road and then to Gibson Road – basically making a large clockwise loop in West Salem. Gibson Road was downhill practically the whole way, so maybe next time I can ride the route backwards.

I finished right before it started raining. Oh, well.
