A couple ideas

Posted on Aug 6 2008 | Posted in Web/Tech | No Comments

I have a couple ideas I’d like to get going with TrueGoal for future versions:

  • Ability to import training plans (for triathlon, duathlon, or single-event) and edit them in case you get injured, sick, go on vacation, etc – you can replan. An easy way I thought of to do this is by making some public Google Calendars and linking them within TrueGoal (although this makes it tougher to have editable calendars).
  • Ability to store routes, and select a route when you enter a run. If you select a predefined route, the mileage would be automatically entered for that workout or race. If you don’t select a route, you still could enter a different route and mileage manually. I’ve thought about doing this by using some online utility that displays gpx files on Google Maps.

We’ll see how things go. Right now I’m focusing more on the few remaining issues before Spiridon can be released.
